USC GRAD STUDENT WINS BEST POSTER PRESENTATION AWARD
A GRADUATE student from the University of San Carlos was among the best research poster presenters in the 5th Asia Conference in Pharmaceutical Science held recently in Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam.
MS Pharmacy student David Hinolan, along with his Vietnamese co-researcher Viet-Phuong Bui from Vietnam National University, bested more than 50 research poster presenters at the research conference.
Their study was titled “Polycation-modified Fe(III)-MOF Loaded with Methotrexate and Pt(IV) Prodrug for Synergistic Anticancer Therapy.”
Students, professors and researchers from China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Taiwan, Philippines, USA, and Vietnam joined the event with the theme “Progress and Achievement of Pharmaceutical Science and Biomedicine.”
“Hinolan conducted his study at the School of Pharmacy, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan under the guidance of Dr. Teng-Hao Chen through the Taiwan Experience Education Program, a scholarship grant awarded to him by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education,” USC said.
Aside from the research poster presentation competition, delegates competed in oral presentations and attended various plenary sessions about pharmaceutical sciences.
