USC ENGINEERING STUDENTS SHINE IN ACADEMIC COMPETITION
ELECTRONICS and Communication Engineering students of the University of San Carlos won several awards in the academic competitions sponsored by the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines-Cebu Student Chapter.
The group of Neil Christian Bolotaolo, Kenn Loyd Pepito and Donald Emmanuel Arnibal were the back-to-back champions in the Math Olympiad.
Meanwhile, the team of David Noel Tan and Rey Marc Oro, Mark Joshua Ares and Charles Sosmeña placed second in the Electronics Elite contest.
Tan, Oco, Ares, and Sosmeña also placed 3rd in the IECEP Quiz Bowl.
Engr. Alberto Bañacia mentored the students.
Themed “Currents of Genius: Illuminating Electronics Engineering Academic Excellence,” the competition was designed to strengthen the ECE field and promote electronics engineering in highly competitive world.
