USC ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS WIN BIG IN DESIGN TILT
ARCHITECTURE students from the University of San Carlos have won top honors in the 2024 Projeto Ideas and Design Competition.
Team AKKA, consisting of Amanda Grace Kaw, Kristen Camille Lim, Kate Angelique Montales, and Amberline Ashley Uy, won both the Grand Winner and the People’s Choice Award.
This is the second consecutive year that a USC entry has claimed the grand prize.
Team Porma, made up of Boris Michael Arque, Jeanne Margrett Caballes, John Elan Martinez, Vincent Mari Rodaje, and Paul Christian Tagalog, was named 1st runner-up.
Additionally, Team Neo, represented by 4th year student Andrew Jorge Lopez, secured 2nd runner-up with his solo entry.
This year’s competition centered on the theme, “Convention Center in Neomodern Architecture,” and was held in conjunction with the Philippine Building and Construction Exposition (PHILBEX) Cebu.
