THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Diliman was ranked the top educational institution in the Philippines by UniRank, a leading global group that reviews the performance of colleges and universities.

For its 2021 top schools list, UniRank assessed 232 higher education institutions in the country.

The Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, University of the Philippines System, University of Santo Tomas, Silliman University, University of the Philippines-Manila, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, University of San Carlos, and Mapua University also made it to the top 10 list.

UPD was also ranked 1,411 in the list of the top universities in the world, joining Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and Standford University, among others.

UniRank is the leading international higher education directory and search engine that features reviews and rankings of over 13,723 recognized universities and colleges in 200 countries.

It provides a non-academic ranking based on valid, unbiased and non-influenceable web metrics provided by independent web intelligence sources.

The metrics include accreditation by appropriate higher education institutions, offers at least 4-year degree undergraduate courses and post-graduate courses, and delivers courses in traditional, face-to-face, non-distant learning education.
