THE UNIVERSITY of Southern Mindanao will offer Bachelor of Science in Microbiology for Academic Year 2021-2022.

USM said students who passed the entrance exam with a score of 54 percent or more and have no grades below 85 in major subjects are eligible to take the program.

The university said the program is designed to prepare students to work in the field of microbiology and other allied fields like agricultural and food industries.

“It will provide excellent education and training in the theoretical knowledge and laboratory skills as well as human resources skills relevant for a globally competent microbiologist,” USM said.

It added that students can also opt for a hybrid career path like in public policy and regulatory affairs after they graduate.

Aside from microbiology, USM will also offer Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science.

The last day of registration for incoming freshmen in USM is on August 6.
