UNIVERSITY OF CALOOCAN CITY STUDENT FACES DISMISSAL FOR JOINING YOUTH GROUP
A STUDENT from the University of Caloocan City faces expulsion because of his participation in “progressive activities,” according to a report of the school’s official publication.
The “TNC of the North” said that the student is a member of the National Union of Students of the Philippines.
It said that the issue was revealed during a dialogue between officials and confirmed by a source who asked not to be named.
The source said that officials wanted to reach out to the student to issue a warning.
The publication said it conducted an investigation and found no ground for the student’s dismissal, in accordance with the UCC Student Handbook.
The POST reached out to UCC but has yet to get a response.
