TSU, TARLAC CITY POLICE PARTNER FOR STUDENT INTERNSHIP
TARLAC State University has partnered with the Tarlac City Police Station for student internships.
A memorandum of agreement was signed by both parties earlier this week.
Under the agreement, TCPS will serve as a partner training institution for TSU’s 10 colleges, offering both virtual and onsite internships for qualified students.
The partnership allows selected students to gain practical experience in various TCPS offices and operational units, immersing them in office operations and management.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg emphasized that TSU aims to produce holistic students by integrating discipline and values into their education.
“In TSU, we are not just developing students’ minds. We’ve added a framework in our education system that produces well-rounded individuals. With the PNP’s strong sense of discipline, we aim to instill this framework among our students,” Macaraeg said. “We are not just creating intelligent students but value-oriented individuals.”
College of Public Administration and Governance Dean Dr. Edwin Caoleng highlighted that the collaboration will help students bridge theory and practice, ensuring they develop the skills, values, and character needed for their careers.
TCPS Chief of Police PLTCOL Rommel M. Santos assured TSU of their commitment to the partnership, pledging to uphold the provisions of the MOA and instill discipline in student interns.
Present at the signing ceremony were TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco and TCPS Deputy Chief of Police PMAJ Jose L. Natividad Jr.
