SORSU WARNS PUBLIC VS ILLEGAL USE OF LOGO
THE SORSOGON State University warned the public against the illegal use of its logo saying that it has exclusive rights to the use of the mark.
SorSU said that individuals are not allowed to use the logo without the consent or permission of the university president.
It warned that criminal and civil charges will be filed against those who manufacture and distribute merchandise or services with the logo of the university as it is considered trademark infringement.
Campuses, colleges, units and recognized students, among others, on the other hand, are allowed to use the logo of the university given that they comply with the SorSU-IP Policy.
Others who want to use the university logo can secure permission from the university and submit the necessary requirements, the university said.
“The university reserves the right to prohibit the use and association of its name, symbols, and logos to persons, groups, or activities whose values are not consistent with those of the University,” SorSU said.
