SLSU GETS P9-M GRANT TO UPGRADE HOTEL
THE SOUTHERN Leyte State University got a P9 million grant from the Commission on Higher Education to upgrade its “Hotel de SLSU” and improve the learning capacity of students.
The university said that the upgrade will help students, faculty members and stakeholders to explore experimental research through the much-improved facilities.
The hotel provides students of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management with hands-on training.
“With CHED institutional grant funding support for this project, it intensifies students theoretically and technically by providing an avenue for holistic learning leading towards global competence in the vibrant hospitality and tourism industry,” SLSU said.
“It will also showcase skills development and production, business for livelihood generation, and contributes to the socio-economic growth of the province and the region,” it added.
