RIZAL TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY BARES DELAY IN RELEASE OF WAITLISTED
THE RIZAL Technological University announced on August 3 a delay in the release of names of waitlisted applicants due to quarantine restrictions.
RTU’s Guidance and Counseling Services Center explained that the delay was also due to the volume of applications, adding that most of the department heads are working from home.
“It is also hard on the part of the department heads to cater to the volume of applications as of the moment as most of them work from home. That is why it takes time to proceed to other applicants that can be accommodated so please wait patiently,” the announcement read.
The school also asked the applicants whose test schedules were canceled or were not able to take the exam due to ‘valid reasons’ to wait after the list of waitlisted applicants is published to assure fairness.
The RTU also announced it will not entertain new applicants failed to register or securea testing date before the lockdown as they still have to accommodate the waitlisted applicants.
“We will only accommodate those who were able to secure a testing date before the lockdown. Since transferee and Lifelong Learners’ applications are both done personally and face-to- face interactions are not advisable, we can no longer accommodate those who were just about to apply,” RTU said.
The school hasn’t announced when classes will start but stressed it will use flexible learning schemes.
