PWU URGES CONSTITUENTS TO EXERCISE VOTING RIGHTS
THE PHILIPPINE Women’s University urged its constituents to exercise their voting rights and help elect leaders who will steer the country to prosperity.
As the campaign period starts on Tuesday, February 8, the university called on Patriots to educate themselves well on social issues before choosing a candidate.
“We call on our fellow Patriots to exercise this civic duty with great care. We must educate ourselves about the issues and concerns that confront our country today, and take thoughtful consideration of each candidate’s character, platform, and track record before making our choice,” PWU said in a statement.
“Amid a culture of rampant disinformation, PWU remains a bastion of intellectual integrity. As such, we call on the community to reject peddlers of fake news,” it added.
The university called for honest, truthful and transparent elections guided in the faith of the “Divine Power.”
The country will elect new leaders on May 9, 2022.
