PUP TO PRODUCE MORE ALCOHOL

/ 10 March 2021

THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines on Monday started producing another batch of ethyl alcohol which will be distributed to areas with high Covid19 cases.

“Aside from the PUP community, the project will benefit 24 barangays, five hospitals, and two police stations,” PUP said on Facebook.

The university said that the new batch will contain Virgin Coconut Oil to help boost its effectiveness.

The Commission on Higher Education gave the PUP Institute of Science and Technology Research P4.9 million for the project.

PUP expects to produce 12,000 liters of alcohol by the end of March.

It produced alcohol for its staffers and nearby community last year during the imposition of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon.
