A STUDENT from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Santa Rosa, Laguna campus was named the Most Exceptional and Inspiring Youth Leader of the Millennium in the 2021 Asia-Pacific Luminaire Award.

Kian Hermosa, who is taking Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English, was recognized for his contribution in representing the youth nationally and internationally as the national president of Kabataan sa Kartilya ng Katipunan.

“He represented the PUP Santa Rosa Campus and received his award on March 31, 2021 at Okada, Manila,” PUP said.

Recipients of the award are selected from candidates nominated by the awards council such as peers from the same field or beneficiaries of their work.

Each month a particular field is highlighted and nominees are received two months prior to the awarding.

The Asia-Pacific Luminare Award is an international organization that aims to acknowledge and reward the achievement of significant figures in the Asia-Pacific Region in showbiz and entertainment, politics and government, business, arts, culture, and academe among others.
