PUP SECURES AACCUP ACCREDITATION FOR 19 UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
NINETEEN undergraduate programs at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines have earned various levels of accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
At the PUP Sta. Mesa Campus, AB Filipinolohiya and BA in English Language Studies retained their Level IV re-accreditation. Additionally, the BA in Political Economy, BA in Political Science, and BS in Business Administration major in Marketing Management were awarded Level IV re-accreditation, while the BS in Entrepreneurship achieved Level IV, Phase 2.
Other notable achievements include Level III re-accreditation for BS in Biology, BA in Communication Research, and Bachelor of Performing Arts major in Theatre Arts.
PUP’s Ragay Campus secured Level II re-accreditation for BS in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing Management and Human Resource Management.
Level I accreditation was granted to the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, BS Education major in Science, and Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences major in Fitness and Sports Coaching at the Sta. Mesa Campus.
Several programs at PUP’s Ragay, Mariveles, Unisan, and Sablayan campuses also received Level I accreditation for the first time.
“PUP is working beyond AACCUP’s ten-program limit to meet funding and accreditation goals. Accreditation is a systematic evaluation process that assesses the quality of educational programs,” the statement said.
“With over two hundred programs, accelerating the accreditation process is key to its National Polytechnic University status and securing more resources. It strengthens the university’s reputation for academic excellence,” the statement added.
