PUP PROF AND STUDENTS RECEIVE FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIP

A PROFESSOR and two students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines are recipients of the Fulbright Scholars Exchange Program.

BS Biology program chairperson Dr. Lourdes Alvarez will be a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Florida.

Meanwhile, PUP Sta. Mesa Department of Psychology student Jessica Jemimah Lopez and PUP Maragondon BS Accountancy student Rachel Baxal qualified for the Undergraduate Exchange Program.

Lopez will be an exchange student for the psychology program of the University of Wyoming, while Baxal will study accountancy at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay.

“These scholars have a clear vision for how their Fulbright experiences will positively impact their careers and contribute to the academic landscape of PUP,” the school said.

The Fulbright Scholarship is one of the most prestigious and competitive study grants in the world. It aims to improve intercultural relations, cultural diplomacy, and intercultural competence between the people of the United States and other countries through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.
