PUP PARAÑAQUE SHINES AT ICMASS 2024 IN SINGAPORE
THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines Parañaque City Campus demonstrated its research prowess at the 3rd International Conference on Multidisciplinary Approach for Sustainable Society (ICMASS 2024) held in Singapore last month.
PUP delegates garnered prestigious awards, reflecting the institution’s dedication to innovation and research excellence.
On the opening day, John Christopher Prias and his team won the Best Paper Award for their study, “Evaluating Brand Authenticity in Tourism Rebranding and Its Impact on Destination Image: Experience as Moderator.”
On the second day, Campus Director Sheryl Morales and Roque Morales were recognized for their research, “Revisiting Indigenous Islamic Practices for Community Healing and Peacebuilding,” receiving the Best Paper in Session 1 award.
Additionally, Hazel DR. Samala from the PUP Sta. Mesa Campus was named Best Paper Presenter in Session 2 for her literature review on women middle managers in higher education institutions.
ICMASS 2024 brought together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers from across the globe to address critical issues such as climate change, resource depletion, and socioeconomic inequalities.
Keynote speakers from Australia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Turkey emphasized the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and sustainable solutions. The conference concluded with a collective call for action, underscoring the importance of global cooperation in tackling sustainability challenges.
