PROFESSOR Rufino M. Menor, the composer of the C’s Hymn, has passed away at the age of 84.

Menor died on Sunday, December 18,2022.

He started his teaching career in the 1980s at the PSU Laboratory School in Bayambang.

He penned the hymn in 1995, along with co-faculty Natividad Parin who helped with the process of its approval from the Board of Regents.

The former teacher was also behind the creation of the “Pangkat Kawayan,” a group of teachers and students who perform songs and dances using the instruments from PSU.

Menor was also credited for crafting bamboo instruments in Pangasinan.
