/ 7 April 2023

THE PANGASINAN State University, in collaboration with the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, conducted a seminar on the “Safe Spaces Act” for students.

PSU promotes inclusivity and equality regardless of individual differences.

NICA Regional Director Mildred Abordo and Research Analyst Aya Castillo discussed Republic Act 11313, also known as Safe Spaces Act, to inform the students about their rights.

University President Dr. Elbert Galas pledged to promote equality.

“The premier University guarantees complete observance of all human rights and upholds the dignity of every individual,” the PSU said.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs led by Dr. Manolito Manuel and the Office of the Vice-President for Research, Extension, Innovation and Gender and Development headed by Dr. Razeale Resultay initiated the program.

During the event, the winners of the essay writing contest from the nine campuses were announced. The contest was organized by the two institutions for the PSU students to have an avenue to share their concepts on Safe Spaces Act.
