POOR PLM STUDENTS GIVEN FREE TABLETS
THE CITY government of Manila has distributed tablets to poor students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila to help them in their online learning.
The city provided 284 tablets to students who belong to the ‘lowest annual income family’.
“Enrollees for Academic Year 2020-2021 who reported having no gadgets and have the lowest annual family incomes have been prioritized to help them adapt to the new normal in education,” PLM said in a post.
PLM President Emmanuel Leyco thanked Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso for the constant support to the students of Manila and PLM.
“We are thankful to the City of Manila under the leadership of Mayor Isko Moreno for extending aid to poor but deserving PLM students. This will be of great help for them as the university shifted to blended learning amid the Covid19 threat,” Leyco said.
The city government also helped the university in the door-to-door delivery of the gadgets to the student beneficiaries.
