THE PHILIPPINE Normal University lauded its alumnus who appears in the South Korean Netflix Series “Space Sweepers”.

PNU lauded Christian Lagahit, the restaurant manager in the series, who graduated from PNU in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in Physical Education.

“Meet PNU Alum Christian Lagahit, the Sassy Restaurant Manager in Netflix Space Sweepers.

If you combine Cowboy Bebop, Firefly, and Star Wars with Korean pop culture, the result would be the Korean space opera currently streaming on Netflix,” the university said on Facebook.

“Space Sweepers (2021) was released on February 5 and hours after it went live on the popular streaming platform, Filipinos on local social media cannot stop talking about one particular character. And no, we’re not talking about our Oppa Song Joong-ki. Sorry, Oppa,” it added.

Lagahit flew to Korea after leaving his job in a call center company as a Learning Specialist and was invited by the production staff to join them.

He was also a cast member in Crash Landing On You, The King: Eternal Monarch, Itaewon Class, Her Private Life, and My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.

Lagahit works as a teacher and a blogger when he is off camera.
