PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila Mass Communications Students’ League has opposed calls for ‘academic freeze’.

In a Facebook post, the group said that academic freeze was merely a temporary solution.

“The Mass Communication Students’ league is not in favor of academics,” the group said.

Instead, it called on school officials to lay down their alternative plans for students.

“We wish to hear all the concrete plans from the PLM administration for the sake of transparency and for a more well-informed studentry. We are willing to hear those alternative plans from them as long as it will ensure that the rights of the students will not be compromised during this pandemic,” the group added.

It also approved the call for Ligtas Balik Eskwela or online learning that will start on October 5.
