PANGASINAN STATE U OPENS SEARCH FOR NEW PRESIDENT
THE PANGASINAN State University created a search committee to appoint a new president who will serve the school starting the second week of December.
The university’s Board of Regents approved the measure and tasked a committee to review applications.
The committee will also handle the calendar of the activities, including the interviews and selection process.
Its current president, Dr. Dexter Buted, is set to step down from office on December 7 after serving for two terms the last eight years.
Buted was initially installed university president in 2015 in a term marred by numerous controversies, including being declared persona non grata by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan since 2016. The infringement has been lifted last July.
