PANGASINAN STATE U DOMINATES DICT REGIONAL PITCHING COMPETITION
THE PANGASINAN State University dominated the Department of Information and Communications Technology Philippine Startup Challenge 7 Regional Pitching Competition.
Fourth-year BS in Information Technology students Jonathan F. Quiles, Haryll Caido, Dexter Javelosa, Estrovery Parido, and Glaizahnel Vinoya of the PSU-IoTech team, who won the competition, will represent the region at the national level.
Victor Jan Idos, Angelo Tiangson, and Harold Moyano of PseUdocode, as well as Angel Khey Baltazar, Rhoda Mae Aquino, Clifford Oclida, Arvin Dela Cruz and Mariella Tabucol of PSU-ARC and Melamar Faustino, Michelle Viernes and Sandy Gonzales of PSUnion, all fourth-year BSCS students, took home the runner-up spots.
PSU said that the hard-earned feat was made possible with the support of the faculty. The winning teams were coached by Elmar Noche, Jay Rico and Engr. Raymond Bryan Esmenda.
Twenty-four teams joined the annual competition.
The Philippine Startup Challenge aims to encourage and inspire Filipinos to create innovative and relevant ICT Products and services that may also be viable business ventures and help solve social problems.
It also aims to promote entrepreneurship in ICT and ensure the continuous creation of investible ideas.
