PALAWAN STATE U  TO CONSTRUCT MORE CLASSROOM BUILDINGS

/ 16 January 2021

THE PALAWAN State University held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new building that will further strengthen the school’s service to the community.

The construction of the building was made possible through the efforts of University President Dr. Ramon Docto, former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives Alfredo Amor Abueg Jr., and Rep. Cyrille Abueg-Zaldivar.

Docto thanked the Abueg family for their dedicated service and for their strong support for the university.

Abueg recounted the history of PSU, recalling a pivotal moment when former President Fidel Ramos signed the law elevating the then Palawan State College to a university.

Abueg-Zaldivar, on the other hand, said that coming to the PSU brought back fond childhood memories because her mother, Dr. Nelly Abueg, served as the university physician.

Meanwhile, the university also held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of six new classroom buildings at PSU San Rafael campus.

Mayor Lucilo Bayron, Deputy Mayor Feliboy Oliveros, Deputy Mayor Jonjie Rodriguez, barangay officials of San Rafael, and PSU officials and faculty members attended the ceremony.
