OCCIDENTAL MINDORO STATE COLLEGE TIES UP WITH CHED ON FUTURES THINKING
THE OCCIDENTAL Mindoro State College and other State Universities and Colleges in MIMAROPA collaborated with the Commission on Higher Education on the development of higher education in the region.
The universities and colleges signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CHED in establishing Futures Thinking as a medium towards anticipatory leadership.
The MOU was signed by CHED MIMAROPA Regional Director Joselito Alisuag, OMSC President Dr. Elbert Edaniol and other SUC presidents.
The MOU aims to apply Futures Thinking tools in crafting the agenda of the concerned colleges and universities based on trends, drivers and emerging issues in the Philippine academic setting.
Through the MOU, futures thinking policy recommendations and innovations will be relayed to different stakeholders to promote impactful changes in the academe.
The agreement also seeks to support MIMAROPA SUCs in adopting uniform strategies to address internationalization-related issues, work together on research and extension projects, exchange best practices and linkages, make the most of information technology to advance shared goals and train faculty and staff in futures-oriented thinking.
