/ 31 August 2021

THE NATIONAL Union of Students of the Philippines pledged to continue to uphold and protect the students’ rights and welfare by relaunching “Student Watch: NUSP’s Official Grievance Desk.”

NUSP Campaigns and Advocacies head Coleen Mañibo said that Student Watch offers three main desks to cater to the needs of learners.

These are Mental and Overall Health and Wellbeing Concerns desk, Academic and Institutional Policies Concerns desk and repression-related Concerns desk.

These desks will tackle concerns on academic policies, tuition and other fees increase, and unjust actions.

Mañibo said that NUSP will see to it that the rights and interests of the student body “are protected and would not be abridged by any individual or institution.”

“If you have any concerns that stifle the Philippine Declaration of Students’ Rights, you can file a report at any given time to the Union. We have provided a QR code and online form for easier report filing,” she said.

“The Union is steadfast in its mandate to address the increasing attacks against the students in our country. The state and some academic institutions continue to repress our basic rights, rest assured that the Union will provide assistance and safe spaces for repressed students,” Mañibo added.

The NUSP said students can send their concerns through https://bit.ly/NUSPStudentWatchReport.
