THE SENIOR High School Student Council of Mapua University on Sunday, September 27, sent a list of proposals on distance learning, including a ‘no fail‘ policy.
The group, through a letter signed by student council president Ralph Anthony Valenzuela, asked the school to implement a ‘can pass, cannot fail’ policy, class announcements, platform flexibility, one activity per subject policy, deadline extension of requirements, overview of quarterly activities and extension of asynchronous learning.
It said these recommendations were discussed by students during a meeting on September 17.
“We recognize that we live in a new normal, but we believe that education is a constitutional right,” the group said.
“This is why we, as student leaders, must exercise our democratic rights to provide solutions for the root of the problems faced by the academe,” it added.
The student leaders will discuss their proposals with Mapua SHS Principal Lilibeth Sabino on September 28.
