MPSPC TO ESTABLISH FARMER SCHOOL
THE MOUNTAIN Province State Polytechnic College is set to build a school for farmers to help them cope with climate change.
The Climate Field School for Farmers aims to impart knowledge to help farmers save their crops from the impacts of climate change.
Farmer will be instructed on the best agricultural practices and sustainable management to increase the yields in agriculture and fisheries.
The program will be hosted by the MPSPC-Bacarri Campus.
MPSPC President Edgar Cue met with the provincial officials of Mountain Province to discuss the program which will be implemented through an inter-agency partnership.
The project will be implemented with the coordination of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Science and Technology, the Climate Change Commission and the provincial government.
