MMSU, NANJING UNIVERSITY INK PACT ON EXCHANGE PROGRAMS
THE MARIANO Marcos State University partnered with Nanjing Normal University of Special Education in China for exchange programs.
A memorandum of understanding was signed over the weekend by MMSU President Shirley Argupis and NNUSE Vice President Wu Binjiang.
Through the agreement, both universities will establish a Confucius Institute in Ilocos Norte to promote cultural and technical exchanges of the Chinese language and culture.
They will conduct exchange activities in education, research, culture and other similar fields, develop and offer transnational education and short-term courses.
MMSU and NNUSE will also promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through various initiatives.
Agrupis thanked the NNUSE for its desire to partner with MMSU, and expressed confidence the tie-up between the two schools will flourish.
For his part, Binjiang said they expect the partnership will further strengthen the friendship between China and the Philippines, particularly Ilocos Norte.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by other key officials from MMSU and NNUSE.
