/ 8 July 2023

MIRIAM College partnered with Canada’s Camosun College to enable students of both institutions to pursue programs and internships on Early Childhood Education, Business and Allied Health Service.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Miriam College Vice President for Academic Affairs Trixie Marie Sison and Camosun College Director Christiaan Bernard in the presence of Commission on Higher Education Chairman Prospero De Vera III.

“When institutions like Miriam College and Camosun College collaborate, incredible possibilities emerge. Together, we will strive to provide our students with opportunities to transcend boundaries and merge diverse perspectives to empower them to become global citizens,” Sison said.

“It is our hope that through forging new educational pathways we will be able to help shape and enrich lives,” she added.

De Vera commended the two institutions for setting the pace for a deepened international academic collaboration.

He said that the groundbreaking agreement will be a model for future partnerships between Canadian and Philippine higher education institutions.

“This signing ceremony represents only the beginning of a transformative partnership rooted in a common goal to enhance colleges in both the Philippines and Canada,” De Vera said.

Beginning School Year 2024-2025, Camosun College will extend its presence in Miriam College Alviera campus in Porac, Pampanga.
