/ 4 May 2024

NEARLY 600 students in Las Piñas City have received oral polio vaccine as the city government conducted an inoculation drive.

This is under the leadership of Mayor Imelda Aguilar and Vice Mayor April Aguilar, and the supervision of the City Health Office.

The distribution of free oral polio vaccines for 250 daycare students was held at the TS Cruz Covered Court in Barangay Almanza Dos in the city. The other 300 students received such at Saint Joseph Subdivision Covered Court in Barangay Pulanglupa Dos.

The Vice Mayor attended the two-day distribution of free vaccines for schoolchildren in the said area.

She also lauded the healthcare workers who took part in the event to provide service to the students, ensuring that they would be vaccinated against polio.

The vaccine drive is part of the local government’s ongoing efforts to keep the state of the region polio-free following international guidelines for the prevention of the disease.
