MARIANO MARCOS STATE U TIES UP WITH CHINESE SCHOOL
TO ENHANCE educational collaboration and foster international relations, the Mariano Marcos State University forged a partnership agreement with the Jiangsu Agri-Animal Husbandry Vocational College.
JSAHVC is a reputable creature science and innovation school based in Jiangsu, China.
Through the five-year partnership, MMSU and JSAHVC will focus on faculty, scholars, and student exchange to conduct academic meetings, and to implement research, development and extension programs.
A memorandum of agreement was signed by MMSU President Shirley Agrupis and JSAHVC President Zhu Shanyuan during the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week held in Guiyang City, China.
Agrupis thanked JSAHVC and expressed hope the partnership will strengthen MMSU’s veterinary medicine program.
Dr. Zhu, on the other hand, said that collaborating with MMSU “reflects friendly relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of the Philippines.”
Meanwhile, MMSU also joined forces with the Center of International Education of Guangzhou Xinhua University to promote educational and research exchanges.
The university, along with 13 other higher education institutions from the Philippines, entered into agreements with Chinese schools as part of a program jointly organized by the Commission on Higher Education and the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education.
The CAECW aims to promote educational cooperation and people-to-people exchange between China and ASEAN countries.
