MARIANO MARCOS STATE U PARTNERS WITH INDONESIAN UNIVERSITY

THE MARIANO Marcos State University partnered with the Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa in Indonesia to promote education and academic exchanges.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed last week by MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis and UTS Rector Chairul Hudaya to formalize the five-year collaboration.

Under the partnership, the two institutions will jointly organize symposia, workshops, conferences and meetings and share innovative teaching methods and curriculum design.

They will also conduct joint research endeavors, facilitate faculty and student exchange and venture into academic internship and immersion programs.

“The university is committed to offer a unique mentorship that will nurture a joint academic community that is impactful to the society,” Argupis said.

UTS is the 14th Indonesian university that MMSU partnered with.

Present during the MOU virtual signing were UTS director for international affairs Eri Sofiatri; UTS vice-rector for international linkages Nurul Izzati; UTS IA staff Mauro Scabuzzo; MMSU vice-president for planning and development Ami Ruth Cocson; internationalization, linkages and partnerships director Mee Jay Domingo; internationalization programs chief Arlene Gonzales and College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development dean Sosima Demandante.
