BASARI D. Mapupuno has been installed as the 8th regular president of the Mindanao State University-System, the school said on Wednesday.

His oath-taking ceremony was held at the Convention Hall of the MSU main campus in Marawi City.

During the ceremony, Mapupuno affirmed his 10-point agenda for the university.

Mapupuno replaced Dr. Habib Macaayong.

He was the longest-serving dean of the MSU College of Law. He will serve as president for six years.

Mapupuno also served as provincial prosecutor of Lanao del Sur. He was the president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines from 2011 to 2013.
