MAPUA UNIVERSITY HOLDS WEBINAR SERIES ON TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION

/ 31 October 2020

THE MAPUA University will hold a webinar series to introduce career paths for Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication graduates.

The Department of Arts and Letters will conduct the first episode of the webinar themed “Connexions: A Convo with Technical Communication Practitioners” on November 9, 2020.

The webinar targets senior high school students who plan to take up Technical Communication.

“The program sharpens its students’ core competencies in the areas of critical thinking, speaking and writing, technology, and collaboration. These are 21st century skills that open wide the doors to a variety of professional careers and academic pursuits for our graduates,” Department of Arts and Letters Chairperson Prof. Ma. Eliza Torres said.

Technical Communication is a uniquely Mapuan undergraduate degree, which is founded on a strong liberal arts component to develop in students a strong skill set grounded on communication, science, and technology.

BSTC student Kyle Joshua Castillo, who now works as an E-Learning Developer for New York City’s Department of Social Services, will share his experiences as a technical communication practitioner in a foreign land in the series’ Episode 1: TechComm Abroad.

“Through the webinar, DAL aims to help incoming college students discover Mapua’s other cutting-edge program offerings,” the university said.
