MANILA CENTRAL U ACQUIRES WORLD’S FIRST VIRTUAL DISSECTION TABLE

THE MANILA Central University College of Medicine boasts of having the world’s first Virtual Dissection Table, which is a technologically advanced virtual dissecting table used by medical schools around the world.

The Anatomage, the most technologically advanced anatomy visualization system in the market today, is beneficial for students in their Anatomy and Physiology classes, among others.

It has remote learning access which can now be used with ongoing online classes. It will also be used during face-to-face classes once allowed by the Commission on Higher Education.

The MCU College of Medicine is committed to mold future physicians to have vital knowledge and skills in modern and advanced medical practices, researches, and postgraduate studies.

According to the university, through it, students can view life size and three dimensional representations of the body system.

“Through this state of the art technology, students can view life size, three dimensional representations of human organs and body systems, allowing them to zoom, rotate, dissect, and even overlay multiple systems all at once.”

The orientation was attended by Dr. Ma. Lilybeth Tanchoco, College of Medicine Dean, Prof. Melvin Miranda, College of Nursing Dean, faculty of the different colleges professors, administrators and staff.
