/ 15 December 2022

A PROFESSOR from the Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila was declared as the grand winner of the International Luminary Award in Teaching by the Institute of Industry and Academic Research Incorporated.

Dr. Emmanuel Dotong was recognized for his contributions across many disciplines that serve as a great inspiration for young people.

“[Dotong] has extensive academic and professional credentials in the field for someone his age. He serves as a source of motivation not only to his students and mentees but also to the rest of the faculty, as he demonstrates that wearing multiple hats at the same time and completing a lot of responsibilities is not an impossible task,” the IIARI said.

“Teaching, researching, writing, management consulting, and running his own company are just some of his many hats. As a young man who has already achieved so much, he is one of the role models young people need to encourage and show them that age is not a hindrance to following their dreams,” it added.

The ILA is IIARI’s way of recognizing and celebrating inspirational success stories in teaching, research, leadership, civic works and academic leadership.

It embodies IIARI’s commitment to the formulation of community of scholars driven by passion for life-long learning and community service.

It also aims to honor the contribution of individuals in various fields that would serve as inspiration and influence for other people.

IIAR is a non-stock, non-profit organization registered under the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission.
