/ 7 August 2021

THE JOSE Rizal Memorial State University warned the public against solicitation scams using the name of the university president.

JRMSU President Daylinda Luz Laput on Thursday said that she received reports that someone impersonating her asked for cash donation from a local establishment.

The person reportedly claimed that the money will be used for her hospitalization.

Laput said that she has not asked anyone to solicit in her behalf.

“This statement is made to inform the public that the undersigned has not undertaken any activity to make solicitations from any entity, establishment, or organization. This is to further inform the public that the undersigned has not granted authority to anyone to solicit any amount on her behalf,” Laput said in a statement.

“The public and external stakeholders with present and active transactions with JRMSU are advised not to entertain any person making solicitations using the name of the undersigned,” she added.
