FISHERIES CENTER TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN CLSU-MUNOZ CAMPUS
A FISHERIES center is set to be established at the Central Luzon State University-Muñoz campus.
The construction came about after the Department of Agriculture inked a pact with CLSU for the building of the Fisheries Biotechnology Center under the National Fisheries Research and Development Center of the department.
The center is set to pursue the development and management of fisheries and aquatic resources in the Philippines.
DA Secretary William Dar said state-of-the-art facilities and centers will be erected on the campus which is set to “withstand the test of time.”
Dar also said the new center will be of great help to shaping its students to be more competitive in the field.
Officials from CLSU and DA met on Tuesday for the signing of the memorandum of agreement for the project.
Two new more DA-funded projects will also be unveiled by the university for the coming months, namely the Precision and Digital Agriculture Center and the Center for Transboundary Diseases.
