DLSU EYES PHYSICAL CLASSES IN 2022
THE DE LA Salle University is considering holding physical classes in 2022.
During an online General Assembly, Strategic Management and Quality Assurance Office Executive Director Gerardo Largoza said school officials said that distance learning will likely continue until next year.
“Based on current infection rates, the pace of vaccine development, and our own risk appetite, it is prudent to assume that both study and work will be mostly online in 2021, with possible phased campus reopenings in 2022,” Largoza said.
The university has been migrating its services online and has developed protocols for safe physical operations.
These protocols include contact tracing, physical distancing in classrooms and team teaching in case a faculty member is infected by Covid19.
DLSU is also revising its strategic plan for the next three years to adapt its curriculum and operations to the pandemic situation.
“As it is unlikely we will ever return to life before, we can think of our physical and virtual facilities in bolder ways, repurposing them for blended study and work, or even 24/7 where [it is] appropriate,” Largoza said.
