THE DAVAO Oriental State University has unveiled a research center to help boost its laboratory capabilities.

The “UResCom” or University Research Complex houses laboratory equipment for “cutting-edge research and explore scientific breakthroughs.”

It has five specialized laboratories consisting of bioassay and testing, microbiology, tropical genomics, vertebrate research, and invertebrate research.

The P29 million-research hub will also house the Institute for Soil and Water, Institute for Bioassay Development and Screening, institute for Terrestrial Regenerative Biodiversity, Institute for Food Innovation, Institute for Materials Innovation Design and Fabrication, and Institute for Natural Products Discovery and Development.

“It will offer a wide range of laboratory services to support breakthroughs in various disciplines, including agriculture, biodiversity, chemistry, environmental science, and biotechnology,” DorSu said on Facebook.

“With its state-of-the-art facilities and expert researchers, UResCom is well-equipped to drive progress and advancement in these critical areas,” it added.
