OFFICIALS of the Commission on Higher Education formally conferred on the Cotabato State University a state university status.

Formerly Cotabato City State Polytechnic College, CotSU was converted into a state university through Republic Act 10585 which was signed by former President Benigno Aquino 3rd but only took effect in April.

Officials from CHED, CotSU, the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic Higher and Technical Education and several government officials were present at the ceremony held at the school’s main campus’ Gymnasium in Cotabato City.

Also part of the ceremony was the induction of Dr. Sema G. Dilna as CotSU’s first university president.

The university unveiled newly built buildings and facilities after the ceremony.
