CHED APPROVES UERMMC FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES
THE COMMISSION on Higher Education has allowed the University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center to hold limited face-to-face classes for its medical and health allied programs.
“UERMMC obtained approval for face-to-face classes for seniors and interns of their programs in Medicine, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Medical Technology, and the practicum of two Graduate Programs,” the university said.
The approval was granted after CHED officials inspected and verified the school’s policies and procedures.
School officials also met with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte to seek the approval of the city government.
UERMMC stressed that it invested much in its preparations for the conduct of face-to-face classes.
The university pointed out that one of the key factors for the approval of in-person classes “was the coordination with iterative efforts of everyone involved in the preparations.”
“The assessors from CHED Regional Office appreciated the layout of policies and procedures presented, which the panel validated,” it said.
The university vowed to continue its role in nation-building amid the Covid19 pandemic.
“All of the programs of UERM are top performing and as an institution of higher learning and education in the health sciences, the Medical Center asserts its role to serve, care and teach,” it said.
