CAVITE STATE UNIVERSITY DECLARES ONE-WEEK ACADEMIC BREAK
STUDENTS and faculty members in all campuses of the Cavite State University will have time to rest and recharge after the school agreed to declare an academic break.
The academic break will be from November 9 to 14, 2020.
“During the break, all faculty members shall not conduct synchronous classes and shall not give any asynchronous tasks to their respective students,” the university said.
Students were encouraged to use the break to regain energy to catch up with their lessons for the rest of the semester.
Meanwhile, faculty members were advised to assess the status of their students and make adjustments in course delivery and assessments.
Students from other universities welcomed the announcement and expressed hoped that their respective schools would follow the CvSU’s initiatives.
“Academic break, not only for the mental health but to give considerations for those students who lost their homes either because of fire or typhoon. A lot of things are going on that especially students can’t handle. How are we supposed to balance them all?” a concerned student said.
