THE CAVITE State University will offer the Doctor of Medicine program starting Academic Year 2022-2023.

The Commission on Higher Education allowed the university to offer the program for first and second year students of the College of Medicine.

The CVSU had been in talks with the Department of Health since 2021, stressing the need for more doctors.

The program is expected to fill the gaps in human resources for medical services for residents in Cavite.

“The CvSU College of Medicine aims to produce medical pluralist graduates with diverse knowledge and skills in providing health care to the community as well as professional physicians and ethical researchers with deep sense of duty and service,” the university said.
