THE BATANGAS State University has eased the academic requirements for students and extended deadlines for the submission of grades and other necessary documents by faculty members.

BatStateU President Dr. Tirso Ronquillo advised faculty members to limit requirements to one per week for each subject.

“This is the mandate of the university to exercise compassion, flexibility, and considerable relaxation of rules to help the academic community cope with the situation,” Ronquillo said.

All deadlines set for the submission of grades and other requirements have also been extended for faculty to give them ample time to compute grades and comply with other end-of-term requirements.

The college deans were advised to coordinate with other offices regarding the compliance of faculty.

The university eased requirements in recognition of the difficulty and uncertainty brought by the pandemic and in the aftermath of the typhoons that recently hit the province.
