FOUR more schools in Manila have been allowed to conduct limited face-to-face classes for medical programs.
Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso approved on Tuesday the request of the University of the Philippines Manila, Emilio Aguinaldo College, PHINMA St. Jude College, and National University to hold physical classes for their medical and allied health programs.
“I trust everyone to follow the health protocols. Mas gusto ko ‘yung kayo ang magkusa ng disiplina,” Domagoso told the schools’ representatives in a meeting held at the Manila City Hall. .
The mayor also urged them to have everyone in their campuses vaccinated.
“The A4 category has been simplified. It now includes all workers who are required to go outside their homes to perform their jobs. Kaya puwede na ang halos lahat. Antabayanan lang natin ang announcement na puwede na ang A4 and, of course, when vaccines are available,” he said.
Domagoso assured the schools that the local government, through the Manila Health Department, will give them the support they need should there be Covid19 cases in their campuses.
“We will make sure that every single cent that you have paid to the city [for your taxes] is fully utilized to protect you from harm and, of course, hopefully from this virus,” the mayor said.
