25 ISABELA STATE U STUDENTS TO BE REPATRIATED FROM ISRAEL
A TOTAL of 25 Agriculture and Forestry student-interns of the Isabela State University will be repatriated from Tel Aviv, Israel.
The students were part of the agricultural internship program of the Ganot Agrostudies Program which was sponsored by Israel’s international development cooperation agency Mashav.
The program was participated by 30 other state universities and colleges in the country as well, to train Filipino students with the latest agricultural technologies and techniques from Israeli farms.
The repatriation was courtesy of the partnership between the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Philippine Embassy in Israel.
“The University schedules three-batch trips to fetch the students to maintain health measures. Eight students are up for the first trip today, nine on October 20 and seven on October 23,” ISU said.
The students will be among the 260 Filipino students to arrive in the country on board a direct flight from Tel Aviv.
The said students were stranded in Israel for weeks due to the Covid19 measures the Israeli government implemented to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
