THE VISAYAS State University announced that 13,744 students enrolled for Academic Year 2021-2022.

VSU President Dr. Edgardo Tulin said that the number of enrollees grew despite the Covid19 pandemic.

Of this number, 8,029 are from the VSU main campus, followed by the Tolosa campus with 2,377, and Alangalang campus, 1,319 students.

The university will conduct a student onboarding webinar to welcome the new academic year on Friday.

“To our new students, welcome to the family of Proud Viscans!” Tulin said.

“Honestly, there are too many students out there who had to drop out of school because of the challenging circumstances that they had to go through. Let’s continue to pray for them that one day they can return back to school to finish what they started. But I want you to reflect on this reality and be thankful that you can still pursue your college education right now even if times are so tough,” he added.
