Keeping in line with the promotion of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) in the Philippines, AIESEC in University of the Philippines Diliman presents Blueprint: Startup the Future to be held on September 3 and 10, 2021.

Blueprint is a startup innovation competition that aims to provide the youth a valuable opportunity to showcase their ideas in incorporating STI to solve national worldly issues. The competition gives way for the bright-minded youth with STI-related business propositions to bring their ideas into reality.

Created last year, Blueprint was originally a case competition but the surge in popularity of these events led the committee to change its course.

“The sudden burst of case competitions being organized by various universities prompted us to rethink this run of Blueprint. Eventually, we decided to put the spotlight on the country’s evolving startup ecosystem through Blueprint 2021,” Organizing Committee President Andrea Concepcion reveals.

This 2-day event will open with talks from DOST, QBO Innovation Hub, and UPSCALE Innovation Hub on Day 1, ending the day with the announcement of the top 8 finalists.

The top 8 teams will then be mentored by Raphael Layosa from Retailgate Technologies, Erwin Lizarondo from QBO Innovation Hub, and Mike Miranda from Drive—coaching and preparing them for their final pitch on Day 2.

These pitches on September 10 will be evaluated by judges: Anne Sophie van der Spek from The Plastic Flamingo, Jan Willem Zwarteveen from Gamesa Renewable Energy, Emmanuel Bueta from OneWatt, Ken Ngo from Core PH Holdings, and RJ Ledesma from Mercato Centrale.

The top 3 winners of the competition will receive Xcellerator course vouchers from Unionbank of the Philippines worth up to PHP 25,000.00 and a chance to be a part of Batch 11 of the UPSCALE Enterprise Program.
